Bernadette Gallagher

Bernadette Gallagher lost her husband Peter, a construction worker, on March 24, 1993. He was shot ten times as he got out of a van at the Westlink Enterprise Centre off the Grosvenor Road in West Belfast.

The UDA/UFF gunman fired from behind bushes and a fence before escaping on a bicycle. The coroner said the killer was driven by ‘nothing higher than a sectarian motive’. Peter Gallagher was from Toomebridge, Co Antrim, and was the father of six children.
