Lorna Hawthorne’s husband Adam Johnston was killed by shrapnel after a lorry hijacked by the IRA exploded in Queen Street, Magherafelt, on 15th March 1974.
He was 28 and the father of four children. One of Lorna’s grandchildren has been named Adam, after her late husband.
