Such sad news that Norman Houston has died suddenly. He was hugely supportive & highly regarded at every level of successive administrations in the US.
Norman was a man of real compassion, good humour and was great company.
Chloe and Connor you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Empathy, selflessness, decency, warmth, professionalism, loyalty, broad mindedness, inclusivity, positivity, balance – all these things, and more, made Norman Houston unique in this world. RIP dear Norman. https://t.co/PNCAvVDaz6

Norman approached his life & work in Washington with a smile that lit up rooms & invariably lifted those around him. How dearly he's already missed across this city & the US as a whole. As we say in Irish, ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann. https://t.co/AOCfLvccHN

"Humility, Respect and Integrity", the headline of a fine @BelTel tribute by @StephenDouds that captures some of what made Norman Houston such a remarkable diplomat & person. We would add "humor" to that list, as we seldom saw him without a smile or without smiling ourselves. pic.twitter.com/YM7ltQ6BDP
