Paddy’s father, Peter, who was 44, was murdered by the UDA on the 24th of March 1993, when he arrived for work that morning at a construction site in West Belfast. He was shot multiple times. Peter was not meant to be at the site that day. The coroner stated that the motive for the murder was sectarian. Peter and his wife Bernadette had 7 children.
