Timothy Dixon

Timothy’s sister, Ruth, who was 24, was one of 17 people murdered on the 7th of December 1982 when the INLA bombed a pub in Ballykelly, Co Derry. Ruth, who lived in nearby Limavady, had gone to a disco at the Droppin Well with a group of girlfriends.  She was a single parent with a 7 year old son. Timothy was 19. Eleven of those killed in the bombing were British soldiers. The INLA claimed they had decided to “take the war to the English and their cohorts”.
