Now recruiting for PG Dip in Trauma Studies at University College, Cork

12th June 2020

Now recruiting for the Post Graduate Trauma Studies Online Pathway !!!!

We are delighted to announce that applications are invited for the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Trauma Studies which is a online programme and is delivered by the School of Sociology at University College Cork, Ireland in conjunction with WAVE Trauma Centre, Northern Ireland.

The Post Grad Trauma Studies programme brings together the expertise of the WAVE team together with the academic staff in UCC, with the aim of delivering a course that will allow students to greatly develop their knowledge and understanding of trauma. The course focuses on both the individual and societal implications of trauma and draws on examples and experiences from individuals who survived, and societies emerging from, violent political conflict; however, this is only one aspect of the curriculum that informs our approach. The course deals with trauma as a universal process and the experience of the WAVE team in Northern Ireland, in the Balkans and in the UK informs both the content and the delivery of this programme.

It  is an innovative programme and is relevant to anyone working with the impact of trauma.  The pathway offers options to complete a Post Grad Certificate or progress to a Post Grad Diploma in Trauma Studies.   We hope in the near future that there will be an option to take this to Masters level.

If you are interested please refer to the link below which details how to make an application to join the September 2020 intake.
