Lead Health & Wellbeing Caseworker, WAVE By The Sea, Killough
I have been working with WAVE Trauma Centre from July 2022 based in Killough. Prior to this I was employed for over 17 years in the voluntary sector where I have gained extensive experience in working with pan disability and mental health. I am passionate about equality and improving the lives of those affected by conflict through promoting inclusivity, access to services and opportunities for personal growth, development and wellbeing.
Wave ‘By the Sea’ in Killough is WAVE’s most recent centre offering a range of services to those living in the Newry, Mourne & Down District areas and beyond.
Our rural location on the County Down coast provides a safe welcoming environment where clients can come for a range of therapies such as counselling and complementary therapy, Outreach, Health & Wellbeing, peer support/creative courses and the opportunity for respite in its beautiful self-catering accommodation options. Group bookings are welcome with training facilities available.
Services provided are on a cross-community, fully inclusive basis with staff on site Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm to offer support, advice and information.
Retreats
Active WAVE clients can stay at WAVE ‘By The Sea’ for short getaways at either our main house (available on weekends) or at our cottage (available Friday – Sunday & Tuesday – Thursday). If you are interested in a retreat, please let your outreach worker know.
Upcoming Workshops
