“The more reflective you are, the more effective you are” (Pete Hall and Alisa Simoral).
COVID has without a doubt, forever changed the way we work, new demands and the need to adapt to changing situations can make us much more susceptible to toxic stress in both our work and personal lives.
We look at the potential of Reflective Practice (long been used as a core part of professional development in disciplines such as teaching, counselling and nursing) as a means to counter issues of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and stress.
We consider how even using elements of reflective practice, designed to fit into demanding schedules, can empower and enhance our lives both professionally and personally.
