Annie Johnston’s 21 year old daughter, Gillian Johnston, was engaged to be married when she was shot dead by the IRA on 18 March 1988 outside her parents’ farmhouse in Co Fermanagh.
Her fiancee was seriously injured. Her family moved out of their home after the attack. The IRA admitted the killing was a mistake.
