Helen Kerr

Helen Kerr and her daughter were caught up in the bombing of Omagh town centre on 15th August 1998, in which 29 people were killed.

The attack, by the Real IRA, came just four months after the signing of the Good Friday peace agreement and is regarded as the worst single incident of the Troubles. Helen was one of many who escaped death or serious injury, but who were left with enduring memories of the carnage on that busy Saturday afternoon.
